Today, Sierra Pacific products are installed in 30 countries around the globe, with a focus on residential and light commercial construction in North America. Sierra Pacific Windows is part of Sierra Pacific Industries, which sustainably manages over 2 million acres of timberland in California and Washington. Sierra Pacific is among the largest millwork producers and lumber companies in the U.S. This gives them control. From planted seed to delivered window and door, every style, every feature, every bit of glazing and cladding are made by people invested in their work.
Use everything
The fiber remaining from one operation becomes the raw material for another. Shavings become animal bedding; bark becomes landscape material or boiler fuel for dry kilns and electricity generation.
Create energy
Using bark and other remaining fiber as boiler fuel, our seven co-generation facilities produce more than enough power to operate our mills. The balance is sold to CA utility companies to help local communities and reduce our nation's dependence on fossil fuels.
Sierra Pacific hires Professional Foresters and Wildlife Biologists to help protect wildlife habitat, watercourses and plant life, and to help manage our lands based on "sustained yield" practices. As a result, Sierra Pacific Industries plants 7 million new trees every year and will nearly triple the amount of wood growing on its lands in the next 100 years, with average tree diameters nearly doubling in that time.
Windows
Sierra pacific offers casement, awning, single and double hung, horizontal sliders, bays and bows, and special shape windows. They also offer Bi fold and MultiSlide windows which is a great addition to their product line that not all brands offer. Among the operating styles they have several colors and grid styles to choose from.
Window Materials
Aluminum Clad Wood- a wood window that has aluminum classing on the exterior to protect the wood making it longer lasting and a more modern exterior appearance while keeping the inside cozy and elegant. The wood on all Sierra Pacific products is protected by Core Guard Plus.
All Wood- All wood windows are a great choice from top-to-bottom. They really can achieve most architectural styles and have the ability to compliment a room. These windows are wood on both the interior and exterior so their lovely design will require slightly more maintenance than those that have aluminum protection, however it is well worth the style.
H3 fusion Technology is the perfect integration of extruded aluminum, vinyl and wood. It’s design and construction give it an industry-leading seal against the elements. Wood interior is for the warmth and beauty. The extra strong vinyl base frame offers strength, protection against rot and greater resistance to air and water leaks. Vinyl components remain hidden when the window is closed. The Extra heavy duty component of the extruded aluminum cladding is twice as this as roll-form cladding. Integral rigid nailing fins are also added to provide structural integrity, a great water barrier and easier installation that nearly eliminates racking problems.
Vinyl
Vinyl is a basic but perfect choice from top to bottom, unobstructed views and wide-open ventilation. Use them alone or in combination with other window types and shapes. Their smooth operation and ability to compliment any architectural style will make them one of your favorite options. They are also one of the most affordable and versatile options.
Doors
Sierra Pacific offers several different door styles including swinging, sliding, Bi-Fold, Multi-Slide, Lift and Slide and Pivot. These come in Aluminum Clad, All-Wood, or Vinyl.
Operating Styles
The Material types do not differ from windows to doors, but the operating styles are a bit different as you can see.
Swinging doors add elegance to your space, and can be designed to swing in or out. They can be configured with multiple swinging panels or just one, and easily combined with stationary door panels, sidelights, or transoms to create a room with a view.
Sliding doors are a very popular option for patios as they are space saving and can allow for more a view with up to 4 panels but most commonly only have two panels with only one being operable. The 4 panel doors have usually 2 center sliding options.
Lift and Slide systems create a dramatic moving wall that blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor living. However, what really makes these remarkable are the advanced lift and slide mechanics that create an amazingly tight door seal, yet slide open and closed with the lightest touch. For large openings that need high resistance to air and water intrusion, better security and greatly improved energy efficiency, these make a wonderful choice.
Pivot Doors had design in mind with it's modern appearance. Engineered to float inside their frame on a set of pins mounted in the top and bottom of the door panel, these amazing doors offer clean lines and simplicity of form and function that sets them apart from other entrance doors. They are a sitinctive and custom approach to your door project.
